Mr. Holmes Bakehouse

So for days before my trip to San Francisco, all I kept talking about was a bakery that I just HAD to visit called Mr. Holmes Bakehouse. They're famous for a dessert called the cruffin (a cross between a croissant and muffin). Unfortunately, the cruffins sell out almost every morning. Apparently people start lining up an hour beforehand just to purchase them! I wasn't able to get there in time to buy one, but I did get a Mexican hot chocolate donut and it was surprisingly spicy and delicious! And just so you know, I'm seriously planning another San Francisco trip just so that I can get to Mr. Holmes Bakehouse early and fall in line. Trust me, it's happening haha.

What a Pear!

I had to prepare this post a few days ahead of schedule because I should be up in NorCal by the time this publishes. This week I'll be taking a break from shooting styled food photos in order to share my travel pictures instead! Expect a new update soon (or follow along on Instagram)!

Life and Raspberries

As you can tell, raspberries were the fruit of the week!

In other news:

I | Taeyeon ~ Taeyeon is a member of the famous K-pop group, Girls' Generation, and she just released her first solo album. "I" is so different from the dance pop songs that her group is usually known for. And even though the words are in Korean, I just think that the song is so beautiful!

Owl City | House of Blues ~ I never really listened to Owl City before (with the exception of "Fireflies"). But I decided to look him up after hearing one of his songs play during the Paint the Night parade at Disneyland earlier this summer. Now I'm kind of obsessed with his new album and can't wait to see him perform live in a week!

Travel | I'm heading up to NorCal next weekend! My main goal is to try a cruffin at Mr. Holmes Bakehouse (and eat a sandwich at Ike's, of course). There'll be plenty of travel photos appearing on the blog later this month!

That Autumnal Season

So if you follow me on Instagram, then you may have noticed that I've been posting a lot of styled food photos lately. My new goal is to post a series of photos every week, all centered around a specific type of food. This past week's focus was on mini pumpkins and heirloom tomatoes (yay for fall!). I already shot a new set of photos for next week so stay tuned!

In other news, here are a few things that I've been really into lately:

1. 1989 | Ryan Adams ~ Ryan Adams covered the entire 1989 album by Taylor Swift and it's pretty amazing!

2. The Meaning of Work | TED Radio Hour ~ A friend sent me this link and I found it to be really, really interesting! And because of it, I've been listening to TED talks every night for the past week. It's my new favorite thing to do before I go to bed!

3. The Eye-Fi Wireless SD Card | Photojojo ~ I just bought this for an upcoming trip to San Francisco and I can't wait to test it out! This new toy will make posting photos from my camera so much quicker and easier, especially when I'm traveling!
