La Jolla Pt. 2

November 28, 2014

I hope that everybody had a Happy Thanksgiving! And good luck to those of you who are out shopping or working on Black Friday....

La Jolla Pt. 1

November 25, 2014

So here's a fun story for the day: While my friend and I were walking along the water enjoying the amazing ocean views, we noticed that a fancy string quartet had set themselves up on one of the upper ledges of the rocks. I thought to myself, "Wow, that is SO cool that they decided to play for the public on the rocks like that!" As they were performing, a couple walked right up to the quartet and the next thing I know, the guy is down on one knee PROPOSING! So let's get this straight. In order to propose to his girlfriend, this guy hired a string quartet to play on a cliff overlooking the ocean during sunset. That is so crazy romantic that I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it for myself! Anyways, the moral of the story is that the bar has been raised, gentlemen. Haha!

The Evening Blue

November 23, 2014
I was standing on a huge staircase when I took this photo. There were all sorts of people around me (rollerbladers performing tricks, salsa dancers blasting music at the bottom of the stairs, etc). What I'm trying to say is that there is plenty of activity around the Eiffel Tower, especially at night. It really is an incredible sight.

I'm already trying to plan out a few travel adventures for 2015. With the way things went this year, who knows where I'll end up.

Musée du Louvre Pt. 1

November 18, 2014

The very first time that I visited the outdoor courtyard at the Louvre was on my fourth day in Paris (back in September). This was my first real exposure to the grandness of the city's historic buildings. After taking as many pictures as I could before sunset, I just kind of sat there and took in my surroundings. I couldn't believe that I was really in Paris.

I'm glad that I'm still posting photos from the trip because going through all of them reminds me of how lucky I was to be there. I have no regrets when it comes to the decisions that led me to this beautiful city.

A Persimmon Moment

November 14, 2014

I think that it's been awhile since I last posted photos that were not travel-related. So here you go! Earlier today my dad walked into the kitchen carrying a giant bag of persimmons. Of course my first instinct was to take photos of them (pretty sure my dad thinks that I have weird hobbies lol). PS I really do have five million travel photos to edit and post, including more from Paris! I'll get to them eventually haha.

Brussels Pt. 2

Brussels Pt. 1

November 5, 2014
I can't believe that just about three weeks ago I was in Brussels! I already want to go back. While I was staying in Paris, I took a Megabus out to Belgium for a day. All I really wanted to see was the Grand Place (the central square of Brussels). But then I wandered onto a street filled with Belgian chocolate shops and...well, let's just say that my priorities shifted haha. And in case you're wondering, Belgian chocolate really is THAT good. I promise that I did more than hang out in chocolate shops all day, so expect more photos later this week!
