Cupcake Station

Imagine my surprise last Friday when I came home to find a box of Cupcake Station cupcakes just patiently waiting for me in my mailbox! My amazing, amazing friend Mara sent them all the way from Michigan! She had told me about these cupcakes ages ago and I was so excited to have the chance to try them!

I don't even know how to begin to explain how delicious these cupcakes were. Each one was topped with a creamy butercream frosting and then dipped in chocolate! DIPPED. IN. CHOCOLATE. Sigh. I'm missing them already.

Mara, thank you again for sending these over! It was seriously the best surprise ever! And you were totally right. The cupcakes tasted amazing! :)

The Suite (106) Life

Suite 106 Cupcakery is a wonderful cupcake shop located inside of the food court at Victoria Gardens. The owners are 2-time winners of Food Network's Cupcake Wars (my favorite show!). On Monday I tried their Belgian Chocolate Banana cupcake for the first time. It did not disappoint! I'll definitely be buying that one again in the future!

So anyways, the food court has these beautiful wooden crate walls that I've never photographed for some reason. I guess it's because there's normally a lot of people around. I had some fun in Photoshop and stitched two photos together to make the image below. It's one of my favorite shots! Plus, that area is the perfect spot to enjoy a yummy cupcake! :)

On Friday I walked around in a pretty skirt, bought a delicious Nutella cupcake from Merely Sweets, did some window shopping, and caught up with an old friend over dinner at IHOP. Happy weekend everyone!

A Cheesecake Factory Production

Did you know that the Cheesecake Factory sells cupcakes? Apparently they do, and I had no idea until last week when I came home to a 4-pack of their red velvet cupcakes. Thanks Mom!

Merely Sweets

There's nothing I love more than discovering new cupcake shops, and oh man is this a good one! Merely Sweets is a cute little dessert shop located in Downtown Brea. They sell all sorts of yummy desserts including cupcakes, macarons, and cake pops. But there was one item in particular that I just couldn't walk away from once I saw it: a Nutella cupcake. What can I say? It was simply delicious!
