Food & Wine Festival 2018

April 9, 2018
It's my favorite time of the year! The Food & Wine Festival has been back at Disney California Adventure for the past month and I was lucky enough to visit on Easter weekend (thank you, Aimee!). Now normally I'm all about the food, but on this particular trip I'd have to say that my favorite highlight was seeing Black Panther's entrance into the park (Wakanda Forever!). The Dora Milaje came out first and their overall demeanor was just so fierce and amazing. One of them stared right at me while I was taking photos and I kind of freaked out haha.

PS If you're interested in going to the Food & Wine Festival, it's running until April 12th which is this Thursday, so hurry and go!

Grizzby's Biscuits & Donuts

March 25, 2018
I spent my morning over in Claremont Village and decided to drop by Grizzby's Biscuits & Donuts for breakfast. It's obvious that they have a mouthwatering selection of donuts to choose from, but today I wanted to try one of their famous biscuits. I ended up ordering the Harper biscuit sandwich (cheddar, over easy egg, roasted onions, garlic aioli) and it did not disappoint! I was so focused on eating my sandwich that I ended up making a mess without realizing it (napkins were needed haha). I definitely plan on going back to try more of their delicious biscuit menu!

Bruxie

March 18, 2018
My friends and I have been going to Bruxie for YEARS, so I'm not really sure why I waited until now to make a blog post about their delicious waffle sandwiches. My go-to order is usually the bacon, egg, and cheddar breakfast sandwich, but you can't really go wrong with any of their menu items (try the frozen custard if you have a chance!).

Museum of Ice Cream

August 1, 2017

If you live in southern California, you've most likely come across photos of the Los Angeles edition of the Museum of Ice Cream within the past couple of months. Last Friday I finally got the scoop on this popular pop-up exhibit! {Get it? The scoop? I've been dying to make that joke for days!}

Let me start off by saying that the Museum of Ice Cream was definitely built with the Instagram audience in mind. The walls are covered in colorful wallpaper and dessert-themed decor. The artwork is a foodie's dream come true. And two words: sprinkle pool. Fun fact: the sprinkles are actually made out of plastic! Anyways, there's no way a person could walk through this place without busting out a phone or camera (photos are highly encouraged by the staff!).

When I arrived, I only had to wait a few minutes before our group was greeted by a guide who led us through the entrance. Once inside, you're allowed to stay in each room for as long as you like, with the exception of the sprinkle pool (which is timed so that everyone has a chance to go in). Some rooms come with the bonus of a yummy dessert, whether it be a piece of chocolate or an entire ice cream sandwich. Other rooms have some sort of fun interactive element, like swings or a claw machine.

I ended up staying for about an hour and thought it was such a fun and unique experience! It's also a good thing that I left room for dessert, because I was stuffed by the time I left! Tickets are all currently sold out, but I've seen the organizers extend the exhibit several times this summer, so sign up for their newsletters if you're interested in going!

PS Apparently, this Wednesday (8/2) is National Ice Cream Sandwich Day! Don't forget to celebrate!
