A Toronto Round Up

The photos above are all snippets of a few of the things I got to see while I was in Toronto back in May. I got to walk outside of the famous CN Tower, tour the Royal Ontario Museum, finally try the delicious tarts at Uncle Tetsu's, window shop around the Eaton Centre, and even attend a poutine festival!

The city also happened to be hosting an event called Doors Open Toronto where a bunch of historical and cultural buildings were opened up to the public for free. I toured Osgoode Hall one morning and couldn't stop taking photos of their law library! Check out more photos below!

The Toronto Islands

So on my first day in Toronto, I decided to hop on a ferry and venture over to the Toronto Islands. As soon as we docked, I made a beeline for the bike rental shop. I just love riding bicycles, especially when I'm visiting somewhere new. It was so much fun to pass through all of the different parks, beaches, boardwalks, and cute neighborhoods that make up the islands. Plus my little bike excursion was definitely a welcome break from the busyness of the city. I spent a good two hours exploring the 15 islands that make up the Toronto Islands (they're all connected by bridges and pathways) and it was honestly one of the highlights of my trip!

St. Lawrence Market

Exactly one week ago I found myself in the city of Toronto for the very first time. My game plan was to spend the day exploring as much as I could on foot, but first I needed food. Cue St. Lawrence Market and its 100+ vendors selling all sorts of fresh fruits and veggies, baked goods, premium meats, cheeses, and more! It very much reminded me of Grand Central Market over in DTLA. St. Lawrence Market was the perfect place to start off my morning and I ended up purchasing more than a few pastries (and souvenirs!) for the road.
