The Last of 2017

Yesterday I met up with a couple of friends for a delicious brunch at the Combine Kitchen, and I realized while we were catching up that this was going to be the last Saturday brunch of 2017. I cannot believe that by this time tomorrow, we'll be in 2018! But I have to admit, I'm really looking forward to a fresh start. I feel so motivated to go after everything I want for myself this new year. So cheers, my friends! May 2018 be filled with tasty food, meaningful relationships, joyous celebrations, and good things to come for all of us.

The Mug Shakes

So for those of you who haven't heard, the Mug Shakes is this amazing new dessert spot that opened up inside of the Victoria Gardens food court last month. Ever since the grand opening, their lines have been out the door! Luckily, my friend and I arrived right before they opened yesterday!

The Mug Shakes is well known for serving up milkshakes that come with a ridiculous amount of toppings. I ordered the Banana Bang (banana + toffee) while my friend picked up the O'Real Bomb (oreo cookie). Both drinks were pretty impressive (see the photos above). Mine was topped with whipped cream, caramel, banana slices, banana chips, and the most amazing toffee that I've ever tasted! But that's just the beginning of it! While waiting for my drink, I saw someone walk away with a milkshake that was topped with a piece of cheesecake!

Another fun fact about the Mug Shakes is that each person gets to keep the mug that their drink comes in! And if you turn in six mugs, you get a free shake! Now I have to admit, I couldn't handle finishing my entire shake, but I think that it was still worth it for the experience (and the cute mug lol). If you have any sort of sweet tooth, this is definitely the place to be.

Every Thursday

Things have been pretty busy lately but I wanted to make sure that I posted a few photos for this week! Last night my cousin and I drove over to Handel's for their $1.25/scoop deal. We pretty much go every Thursday just for their banana cream pie ice cream haha. Check out more of my photos from Handel's here and here!

In other news, I have one more week until I fly out to Georgia to visit one of my best friends! I'm really starting to miss long-term travel but these little trips here and there have been holding me over. Plus I'm already making plans for 2016! Seattle and Nashville have officially been added to the list (I've never been to either of those cities!). Let the countdown to Georgia begin! :)

Suite 106 Cupcakery

My friend and I decided to treat ourselves to some yummy desserts at Suite 106 Cupcakery earlier this afternoon. What better way to end the weekend than with dessert? Plus I just had to pick up one of their giant chocolate chip cookies after seeing this post on Instagram. Wise decisions were made today haha.

In other news, I have three more weeks until my trip out to Georgia! I'm just counting down the days until then! It feels like it's been far too long since I was last on a plane haha.
