Right down the street from Tartine Bakery is a wonderful little grocery store called Bi-Rite Market. It seemed pretty small from the outside, but this place was jam-packed with an amazing selection of organic fruits, freshly baked bread, and delicious cheeses. I wish I had a Bi-Rite Market in my neighborhood!

Tartine Bakery has been on my bucket list of places to visit for a very, very long time. It was all I could think about in the days leading up to my San Francisco trip last weekend. Forget the Golden Gate Bridge. I'm going to Tartine! It's all about priorities, people.
Anyways, I ended up buying their chocolate pudding (the chocolatiest chocolate pudding I've ever had!) and a chocolate hazelnut tart. I'm pretty sure that I was simultaneously in dessert AND photo heaven.
My friend ordered the lemon meringue cake in the bottom right corner. My mouth immediately exploded with lemon after I took a bite out of it. Oh Tartine, you're too good. Too good.

Here's a fun fact about me: whenever people forget my name, they always call me Iris instead of Orchid. It happens all of the time! I prefer Orchid of course. Haha. Anyways, it's been quite awhile since my last Flower Studies post, hasn't it? Better late than never!

You guys, I have NOT had any free time to take new photos. But if everything goes according to plan, I should be going on a road trip next weekend. Expect plenty of photographs to follow. :)

Earlier this weekend I photographed my mom making binalay (a Filipino rice cake). I didn't get a chance to take a photo of the final product, but trust me it tasted delicious!
