On Friday I walked around in a pretty skirt, bought a delicious Nutella cupcake from Merely Sweets, did some window shopping, and caught up with an old friend over dinner at IHOP. Happy weekend everyone!
I've been dying to go over to Some Crust Bakery in Claremont for some time now. I finally made it there for lunch earlier today and I was blown away! Their famous egg sliders tasted like heaven (photos to come) and their selection of baked goods simply made my mouth drool!
I ended up taking home a dark chocolate butterball cookie and trust me, this isn't your average cookie. The inside was oozing with dark chocolate and the top of the cookie was covered with a generous helping of powdered sugar. It was seriously one of the best cookies that I've ever had from a bakery. Yum!
This was seriously one of the best, albeit messiest, desserts I've ever made. I think I'll let the pictures do the talking for this post. Check out the recipe (and some gorgeous photographs) over on Kumquat. PSThis is what it looked like on the inside.
This is my aunt's old guitar. When we were little my cousin and I used to play with it all of the time. We had no idea what we were doing, but we loved pretending that we did. Now our sixteen-year-old cousin uses it, except she actually knows how to play guitar (haha). I'm just glad to see that it's still in the family.
